Rooted.Growing.Resilient.®
You minister to others. Who ministers to you?
RGR (Rooted. Growing. Resilient.®) is a confidential, six-month, one-on-one coaching partnership designed to support ministry leaders. RGR is not a program or curriculum; it’s a relationship. Each participant is paired with a seasoned pastor, coach, or spiritual director who meets with you monthly to listen deeply and focus on what matters most to you personally and professionally in this season of ministry.
Participants begin with a conversation with Rev. Dr. Jean Cheng Gorman, who prayerfully matches each leader with an RGR Partner based on needs, personality, and ministry context. An experienced and diverse team of RGR Partners walks alongside leaders with wisdom, care, and confidentiality.
Why RGR?
We know ministry can be life-giving – and deeply demanding. Rather than offering generic support, the Midwest Conference partners with RGR to provide personalized, relational care for ministry leaders so they can remain rooted in Christ, growing in self-awareness and skill, and resilient for the long haul.
Scholarships
The Midwest Conference is committed to making RGR accessible. Because of this commitment:
First-year participants (first two seasons) receive scholarship support, reducing the total cost to $500 for each six-month season.
Second-year participants (third and fourth seasons) continue to receive Conference support, with a reduced cost of $650 for each six-month season.
Additional partial scholarships may also be available directly through RGR.
Space is limited for the Spring 2026 season (February–July). For questions about RGR or other coaching/spiritual direction resources, contact MWC Missiologist Lexi Lang.
